These
are just some of the noble aims to achieve which, The Kainat
Foundation was formed. The KAINAT FOUNDATION is a registered
N.G.O under society registration Act 21, 1860 / 523, Government
of India. It was founded by Janab Shakil Ahmed Kakvi on 8th
February 1999 at village Kako District Jehanabad of Bihar.
India. It aims at making children not just the subject of change
but also the agents of change. It works to improve the lot
children at the very grass root level of the society like street
children and other downtrodden classes. But these children will
in future be the means by which the foundation hopes to achieve
its aims. Education should not only be of material nature to
bring out their latent capacities but also should equip the
students to be responsible citizens of the world tomorrow
capable of taking responsible and well-informed decisions for
the well being of all mankind.
To achieve this aim of providing quality education at the doorsteps of the poor and downtrodden, two schools were set up.. They were the Kainat International School and Kainat Public School at village Kako, Jehanabad District. of Bihar, India. For the project of supporting the poor children to be sustainable required the revival of the age old though rarely used concept of each one teach one. The children at the Kainat International School who were from the more privileged sections of society were introduced to the plight of their poor brethren. The children fell assiduously to the challenging task of educating their peers. 160 children belonging to poor family backgrounds, living on the streets, working at tender ages or other such unprivileged children were adopted under the sustainable project "EACH 1 TEACH 1". Thus the Kainat public school is the school of the children, for the children and by the children aiming for "Education for all" to achieve a better tomorrow. Students from other institutions were also brought into the picture and they too fell into the noble mission. They not only in a way dedicated themselves to the service to humanity but in doing so found within themselves capacities which they never suspected of having within themselves. Thus in trying to equip others to face the world, they discovered potentials within themselves with which to take on the world. Thus the Kainat foundation has expanded not only in terms of those helped but also in terms of those helping who in turn are mutually benefited. The family continues to grow at a rapid pace throwing out seeds all over the world as had been envisaged. The Kainat Foundation is unique not by the work it aims to do but by the means it uses to achieve its aims.
The Qatar Chapter:
The Doha Chapter of the Kainat Association owes its existence to the fact that Mr. Shakil Ahmed Kakvi at the time of the development of the plans for the establishment of the Kainat Public School was teaching Science at an Indian School
When Mr. Shakil Ahmed Kakvi entered the school, he was quick
to spot that here the students had plenty of excess energy just
waiting to be channeled in the right direction. To do so, he was
quick to establish the Science Club and a few years later the
environment club but always there was a chance to do more with
the students. The activities of the two clubs grew and branched
out in various directions. Even then, there were people
clamouring to take part in the activities for by this time, they
were being motivated by their friends too. Then the Scouts and
Guides came under the sway of the these activities and rose to
hundreds in number. Thus thousands of students were brought
together to work on the causes of popularizing science and
working for the environment. As the students found within
themselves new capacities for leadership or otherwise, they
wanted a slice of more action for the working of all the bodies
was kept in a sort of open ended hierarchy. There was a
hierarchy for efficient management which was so strong that they
could manage activities on their own once the goal was set but
their very strength lay in the fact that anyone could work their
way up the hierarchy. It was and still is a true lesson in
organization
by the students as has been remarked by anyone who has attended
any of the activities organize by the students of the school.
So when the idea of the Kainat foundation was introduced among the students, they once again threw themselves into the project. The 6000 strong student community was quick to spread word of the foundation and the students were quick to come up with ideas to raise funds and spread word of the project. Today still under the leadership of Mr. Shakil Ahmed Kakvi, the Doha Chapter is able to make a statement and boldly expound the ideals for which the Kainat Foundation was formed and a showcase to the world of the power of children under positive thinking.
